Flow Data Sets
| The daily flow data base contains all data relating to flow of water from the Chesapeake Bay tributaries into the Bay. The single source of this data is the U.S. Geological Survey which maintains its flow gauges in all major tributaries. The longest period of record for the data is 1900 to 1985. However, many of the gauges have been in place for only the last 10 to 20 years. The dependent variable in these data sets is corrected data flow rate measured on a daily basis. These data are described by USGS station code and date. The monthly flow data base contains calculated monthly average flow by major basin and was derived from the daily flow data.
