The annual Chesapeake Executive Council Council meeting will take place on November 29, 2005 in Grosvenor Auditorium at the National Geographic Society building at 45 17th Street N.W., Washington, D.C. In addition to taking part in a National Geographic Education Summit, Executive Council members are expected to discuss the adoption of an integrated fisheries ecosystem plan, the expansion of innovative animal manure management programs and securing additional funds to accelerate Bay watershed protection and restoration programs on agricultural lands.
Members of the public are welcome to attend this event. Attendees are encouraged to ride the Metro to the meeting, as National Geographic is a short walk from both the Farragut North and Farragut West Metro stations.
